Five years ago, three days before throwing my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party, our water well went out. We ended up replacing 480 feet of PVC with galvanized steel pipe. What do you do with 480 feet of PVC? Football targets, little kids chairs, finish line posts and now a Christmas Light Star!
Step One: Lay out your PVC in the shape of a star.
Step Two: Drill holes in the end of each pipe. Using wire, thread the points of the star together.
Step Three: Wrap each intersection with rope to keep the pipes from sliding.
Step Four: Place hook screws at each point and intersections.
Step Five: Wrap the lights using the anchor points placed at each point and intersection.
Place your star on your lawn or your house and enjoy! We put ours on the front of our house so we can see if from about 2 miles away! Be sure to attach it securely to prevent damage to your house or property.
